Since there’s nothing quite like telling people about projects I’m largely keeping under wraps, I thought I’d do it again. Seriously though, for those who already know me from Facebook, I’ve reached a bit of a milestone with the Entrance Saga. Parts one and two are now both pretty much complete and I’ve plotted out the third and final part. The plan now is to get it written before the start of Nano 2015, with an eye to getting it out there sometime next year. That seems like a long time, but I’ve been working on this for twenty odd years so it really isn’t all that long.
For those who don’t know, Entrance is an epic tale about Hell, Heaven and the end of the world, all set in my own little Cathedral City called Wesham. Someone who has read the work so far has called it ‘Rising Damp meets Hellraiser’ which is fairly accurate, except there aren’t that many jokes.
The other big project in the pipeline is that I’ve taken the plunge and opened a Createspace account for myself – mostly because I got a code for two free copies for completing Nano last year. I’d forgotten all about it until I got the email reminding me the offer runs out at the end of this month. I’m halfway through getting Hell TV set up and, if I like the end product, I’ll be available in hardcopy in a few weeks time. I’m quite excited about this – expect much ‘Look-at-me’-ing next month if the books look good. Maybe even if they don’t…
There has also been some actual writing as well. The Pocket is an idea I’ve had kicking around for about a year that hasn’t turned out quite how I though it was. There was going to be more screaming and things on fire originally but I didn’t like that. I’m fairly pleased with how it’s turned out – let me know what you think if you find the time to have a read.
